Nova (Sam Alexander) rushes in to save the people in the falling ferris wheel when Midnight's Fire (Aaron Chord) comes in to assist him. Aaron Chord, appeared at the County Fair seeking his daughter, but could find no trace of her. He assisted Nova (Sam Alexander) in saving some people on a ferris wheel that had come unhinged. It was then he spoke to Sam about looking for his daughter. Aaron Chord explains that his daughter is in danger, and in the hands of evil people who mean to abuse her powers that she’s been naturally born with, just as he was.
Two weeks later, Aaron Chord is beating up some guards of the armored train while Sam Alexander goes after the locomotive. Iron Man (Tony Stark) shows up and demands at Sam for an explanation. With the heroes distracted, Aaron Chord runs after the train. Sam Alexander and Tony Stark go after the train while the latter (Tony) explains that Aaron Chord is not a New Warrior, but a member of the obscure supervillain team, The Folding Circle. Tony reminds Sam that he needs to study more on the Supervillain Files. As they broke into the train cabin, they find the injured guards and the couple who are likely to be the foster parents of the child Aaron is searching for.
Upon reaching the cabin car which looks like a kids' playroom, they found Aaron Chord is trying to reclaim his daughter Julia Chord. Tony and Sam hold a stand-off with Aaron who wants his daughter. However, it turns out that Aaron Chord was lying about how his daughter had fallen into the hands of evil people who intended to use her inherited powers. With the arrival of Iron Man, the truth is revealed that he had intended to sell his own daughter to people who would use her powers. Iron Man and Nova (Sam Alexander) are disgusted with Aaron's plan. In the end, Sam Alexander stops the train car (where Aaron Chord, his daughter and Tony Stark were in) on the railway tracks and flies back to beat up Midnight's Fire and save his daughter. After saving the child, Sam Alexander goes home to be with his family.

Sigh...Sam, if you don't know about Midnight's Fire, then why didn’t you just ask your former friends - The New Warriors (especially Justice, Speedball and Silhouette) for help since Midnight’s Fire is Silhouette’s brother. They have more experience about him than Tony Stark! Also, Silhouette (Janelle Chord) would make a good aunt to Julia Chord so the kid is better off with Sil.
