Happy Midnight folks! We are hard at work with behind the scenes things for Midnight Detective.
We will be trying to do progress reports and working on interactive stuff for posts. So, that you guys can be informed but also entertained while you wait for the comic and game!
SweetRyvre and I (@curious-cecil) both took a shot at designing a logo. She took a more stylized approach that incorporates the game's vibe while I focused more on the potential brand. Both are good in their own way. These are also likely not the final product.
@SweetRyvre and I wanted a character that could challenge Darkwood's monotonous nature and breathe some life into the series in a unique way that could get some laughter in an otherwise originally bleak series. This is Dexter Rubio-he'll be kicking your door open any day now. 🎨Art: @SweetRyvre

Fun Fact about Cedar, he has a tendency/habit of chewing on things. Mostly his nails, but he'll chew on pens/pencils and other things. This is a habit he doesn't really notice. Art fun fact: The lighting alone took several hours. I (Cecil) need to get better at my speed. 🎨Art: @curious-cecil

Here are initial sketch concepts for the main character of the series Cedar Darkwood. Often called Detective Darkwood or just Darkwood. These are concepts for his appearance towards the start of the series and later in the series. He is a 7' tall corpse filled with fungi. Darkwood was murdered 10 some odd years before becoming a detective. He doesn't remember his past before his murder and searches for the fragments of his memories. He may have been a very different person in his past. 🎨Art: @curious-cecil
