Hello!! I'm still working on this AU as I keep learning about the transformers universe. Just finished TFPrime and going to G1, fase 1 of IDW comics and Skybound, so progress has been slow but steady and i'm thinking of who I can snatch for what I have in mind.

Inspiration Before going into details, i'm being heavily inspired by Ultrakill. The whole "war without reason" immediately clicked with me the moment I started to learn about the conflict between decepticons and autobots, because in the end, what was left of their very home? The thing that specially brings me to do this is the Earthmover book:

"This is the only way it could have ended. War no longer needed its ultimate practitioner. It had become a self-sustaining system. Man was crushed under the wheels of a machine created to create the machine to Crush the machine. Samsara of cut sinew and crushed bone. Death without life. Null Ouroboros. All that remained is war without reason. A magnum opus. (...) A machine built to end war is always a machine Built to continue war. (...) None were left to speak Your eulogy. No final words, no concluding statement. No point. Perfect closure."

About the AU Cybertron still stands, but it's dominated by the Decepticons on a Shattered Glass similar way. Optimus is dead, Megatron decided to exile himself, and warlords and cruel leaders remain. Even so, there are still fighting each other, over power, over not let this be how the future of their planet will be, but it's a bumpy road.

I might be thinking too little or too much considering how vast the cast of characters and the universe is, but i'm working on it as much as my knowledge allows me.

Who is this guy? He's Midnight Echo / Midnight / Echo / Y'know, he's some sort of lab experiment, created to resemble and hold the memories of a long dead gladiator to help on the war... No, to finish the war. Modified to be a lethal weapon, consumes energon through his body, his blades can cut through tough metal like butter, and besides having part of the consciousness of the fallen warrior, he also has a vast database of almost all the conflicts prior and during war. Might be small, might his TCog barely function, but he was made for a purpose, and will extinguish all the stars until nothing but pure midnight and the echo of what cybertronians once were remains.

However, he's not just an OP killing machine, because even with all of that, the spark he was forged on is still young, and barely knows anything besides violence. Midnight it's constantly conflicted between the purpose implanted in his very core and who he truly desires. Maybe if his world wasn't filled with so much pain, things might have ended differently.

Tommy’s the best friend dating the Lois Lane girl, right? (I’m sorry - it takes me about a season to grasp characters’ names! - also… whatshername Lance is traditionally Black Canary, yeah? but they gave her a middle name which she goes by in the show to, idk, makes things interesting, and as a consequence her initials are L.L - was that a nod to DC’s obsession with those initials or something? :p)

Anyway, Tommy. I like him, he’s quite sweet. Though with his daddy issues and his rich boy background and being in love with the woman who the main character, who is his best friend, is also in love with - he has a few SV!Lex characteristics… which means I keep feeling like he’s only a hair’s breath away from becoming a super villain at some point, lol! (I also mistaking thought he was in on Oliver’s kidnapping in the first episode, because after Ollie checks his pulse and runs away Tommy opens his eyes, and I thought that meant he was faking unconsciousness and was in cahoots with the kidnappers - despite being wrong, the nagging sense of suspicion I associated with him as a result of my assumption has remained, sorry!)

But I do like him!

So far Diggle is my fav though :D I liked the episode where he had to confront the fact that his old army buddy (John Crichton!) was corrupt - Diggle!angst ftw :)
