Twilight needs an outfit to wear for the story, and I think it would be fun to let y'all contribute to the story!
Until November 10th, I'll take submissions for the contest. That is a little over 2 weeks for y'all to send anything you want. Dresses, suits, [censored], You name it! At the end of contest, I'll choose my top three favorite designs and add them into the story.
We will also accept designs for any character from the show or Eventide. But the reward perks will only go to the designs for Twilight.
Rewards are as follows:
1st place will have their design in the comic, and will get a full commission.
2nd place will get a flat color commission
3rd place will get an inked commission
This is not the wedding dress! That is a contest for another milestone.
Any questions can be answered through an ask. I hope to see what y'all can do!
After roughly 2 weeks of being away from home, I'm back and my tablet is ready to be used again.
Tonight will be a quick update for Engaged Twilight, and tomorrow will be the start of the Discolight Animatci (thanks Drew Flashy, you have totally bumped Flim Flam as the second animation I'll do. >:P)
I can't wait to finish my tumblr update, because then my animation is the next big project I'm gonna work on.
Just so y'all know, the winner of the poll I made for my first pony animation was Flim Flam planning their next dastardly deed.
So I'll start working on the animatic once Engaged Twilight is updated. I'm debating on posting the animatic, but after what I've seen happen to Jan, I'm not sure if that is a good idea. I'm not talking about the C&D, but on the constant nagging of when it will be finished (though I'm aiming sometime before school starts back up). I have a couple of Christmas ones I'm also planning out, so the finishing project might be a tad later than I plan.
It also depends if I get a steady job or not. As it is, I have to take whatever work I can get my hands on, so I don't always have a lot of time to dedicate to my art. That is, unless I can somehow get paid to work on it (nil chance of that. heh)
I also won't solely focus on working on the animation. I'll still do commissions and slowly update my Tumblrs and do random sketches. So I won't be dead in the meantime of working on this.
I will dedicate a stream just for animation. I'll have to make an image to show which stream is dedicated to what for easy reference to y'all.
Whelp, enough of me chatting. Y'all have a great night!
I have to say, I've been in a good mood recently. Like, a really good mood. This is probably the happiest I've been in close to two years.
I mean, sure, I still am suffering from a major financial crunch. My temporary job which has become my best way of paying my bills is ending Tuesday morning. I'll have to go back to Subhell (which has proven for years to be completely unreliable on paying bills). My insurance jumped a hundred bucks a month due to political crap, so I can't afford that at all. And I have a Trotcon and Bronycon just over the horizon with their huge costs.
Aka, I'm broke as hell and in desperate need of commissions and/or another job.
But, as said, I'm in a really good mood. Perhaps it is because Senpai noticed me! J/k
I'm actually happy because I know I can make Bronycon this year. Sne of my friends said he can cover any costs if I can't, so I'm guaranteed to go. But those who know me know I absolutely hate handouts, so I'll work my tail off to pay for it myself.
I'm going to be able to see most of my friends again, such as Specs, Drew Flashy, Silverslinger, and many others. I have a couple costumes in the works that I'm going to wear there, and I know a good number of fun party people so nights are going to be a blast.
I'm also starting up the theatre program again at school, and was told I have enough credits to automatically get an associates degree. If I'm forced to leave school again, I'll at least have an expensive piece of paper to get me better jobs than what I've been working for the past seven years.
There is also a contact my mother knows who is a semi-well known name in the theatre world, and she says she can help me get into stuff in Cleaveland (hopefully. I still have to be good to do it).
I'm also meeting a lot of new and interesting people. I'm joining in a few people streams and chatting up a storm with the other people, seeing their tumblrs and deviantarts. I've gained over fifteen followers from those people alone, and I'm now following over twenty five of them myself.
My skype is now somewhat active again. All the older contacts I used to talk to are pretty much gone, but after joining a few chat groups, or people contacting me, I'm getting notifications and talking again. Though, I still prefer the groups than personal chats. It is easier to keep track of everyone in one place than a hundred others. heh.
Life seems to be slowly getting better for me. I know it won't last, but this bright spot is awesome and I'm loving it!
Whelp, I guess that is it for my update. Y'all have a great night!
