Sea of Song
The wind danced a waltz through her thick, wavy hair
The sea breeze filled her lungs with its soft scent
And the salt posed for their portrait on her dark, long lashes
The cries of the birds circling above filled her ears with a music few enjoyed
The birds were her woodwinds,
The waves, her percussion,
The dolphins, her flutes,
The sea was her melody,
And the sky was her harmony
The balanced each other, like all things should be
Without the sea and the sky, she didn’t know how she’d be able to go on
The pirates and sailors kept wanting to catch her ear
The other sirens, they wanted just to catch her and have their fun
She did not want them though
The only thing she truly loved, and would ever love, was her own world
The sea, the sky,
The melody, the harmony,
The music made by the orchestra,
That was her world, as it would forever be
