Uranian 90° Dial Midpoint Transits In the previous post, we talked about branches of astrology that help explain the deeper structure of a chart. Uranian astrology, heliocentric charts, and esoteric astrology often reveal why certain themes dominate life and why some patterns feel central rather than occasional. Uranian astrology also looks at transits, but in a slightly different way. Instead of focusing mainly on planets moving through signs and houses, it often examines moments when a transiting planet activates the midpoint between two natal planets on the 90° dial. When this happens, the combined symbolism of those two natal planets is activated simultaneously, forming what Uranian astrologers call a planetary picture. Transit Planet = Natal Planet A / Natal Planet B Because midpoint work uses very tight orbs and harmonic symmetry, these activations can sometimes correspond with moments when underlying themes in the chart become visible through events, decisions, or internal shifts. To explore this more easily, we’ve added a new tool to the site that shows: • when midpoint structures in your natal chart become activated • the exact entry, peak, and exit dates of each activation • planetary pictures formed by transiting planets • longer cycles from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and the Trans-Neptunian planets • optional harmonic levels used in Uranian astrology (4H, 8H, 16H) This approach simply looks at timing from another structural perspective. For those already exploring midpoint astrology or the 90° dial, it may offer an interesting way to track when the deeper patterns of a chart begin to move.
