It's not cool at all when you realize you have so many books to review and a bunch of assignments to finish, not to mention the upcoming test tomorrow. *cry*
I just made a major decision (pun intended)
I want to change my major.... Honestly, it’s not even a change it’s more like an adjustment. This is like my fifty-billion year as a college student and I should really have it figured out by now. In high school I wanted to work in the STEM field but I didn’t want to take all of those engineering classes so I started out as a business major, then I was a communications major, then I went all crazy and dropped out of school after trying to kill myself, went back and got my associates degree, and now I’m double majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing but I want to switch it so that I’m majoring in Marketing and minoring in Fashion Merchandising. The fashion program at my current school is literally driving me crazy. Everyone is a bunch of tasteless idiots and those who aren’t I wish them the best. This is a state school, so it’s not like our instructors are actual people in the fashion industry who know shit (except for my textiles professor, he’s clearly like a mad scientist for fashion textiles and the one black woman, a design instructor from Nigeria). All they want us to do is work at clothing stores because everyone knows that in the fashion industry real life experience > college credit hours. I’m over it. I want to be a boss bitch, not some loser with a useless degree and 10lbs of black and blonde yaki weave working as the store manager of Love Culture (this is an accurate description of my boss when I worked there for 2 seconds). I honestly hate working retail. I’ve worked public relations before (as a measly student assistant but still) and I loved it. My dream job is to be a gatekeeper, a decision maker.... not no damn worker bee, fashion industry or otherwise.
