@midvinterkold ---- i can’t resist
If Elsa had any say in her daughters’ time at Auradon Prep, she’d say that the breaks they got to go home for holidays were too short. The girls, no matter how much they disagreed, brought such a vivaciousness to the household that she couldn’t help but not only miss having them around as the beautiful young women they’d grown into, but also as little girls, where there was a giggle around every single corner. But something has been off about the younger of the two since she came home, and she can’t place it.
There’s a gentle knock on the girls’ shared room as a small smile comes to her face when she spots Frida inside. “Frida? Is everything all right?” She asks, hating the hesitance in her voice. “Do.. do you want to talk about it? Because you know you can talk to me about ANYTHING. Anything at all.”

@midvinterkold
Her daughter had been so young when she had disappeared from her home and while her parents, all of their family and staff and most of the citizens of Arendelle had searched every part of every nearby Kingdom, they never found her.
The loss of their daughter had taken its toll on the marriage of Queen Elsa and King Magnus and all of Arendelle, really. When, five years after Princess Frida’s disappearance, King Magnus died during a war, Elsa broke down, after killing the men who killed her husband and thus winning the war.
With only Anna keeping her in Arendelle, ruling was so much harder. The citizens had distanced from their Queen, no longer seeing the young, yet capable Queen in their reigning Monarch.
She knew she would never see her late husband again, but she never lost hope of seeing her daughter. The little girl was out there, somewhere. Even after all those years. Elsa got tired of the girl’s appearing at the gates, claiming to be her daughter. When they obviously weren’t.
But no one seemed to hope on that as much as Elsa and her family did, because the council kept on arranging meetings with suitors, hoping for Elsa to remarry. And Elsa could see the people of Arendelle losing hope in their Royals. They weren’t as excited when they saw Elsa outside, children didn’t come to greet her and people rarily came to the castle to request something. They started to fear her, she thought. Feared what she could do if something angered her.
Ten years after her daughter’s disappearance, Elsa finally remarried the second born Prince of a neighboring Kingdom, Harald. She loved him, in a way. He was nothing like Magnus and she didn’t want him to be. He was kind, treated her and everyone around them well. Elsa knew she would never love him as much as she once had loved someone, but just love would be enough.
Citizens smiled again when they saw them in the village, children loved the things Elsa could create with a mere flick of her wrist. Joy had returned to Arendelle and it when their Queen gave birth to a child, it seemed like all of Arendelle couldn’t stop smiling.
They had a daughter, Seraphine Iduna, and a son, Fredrik Jørgen. Seraphine was five now, Fredrik had just turned three. Elsa loved her family, loved her new children as much as she loved the one she was still missing after all those years.
The one daughter she longed to meet, but even her hope had started fading a few years ago. She still thought about Frida, still talked about her, still hoped she’d returned. But she had to spent time with her second and third born children too.
When once again, someone appeared at the gates, claiming to be the Queen’s long lost daughter, Elsa didn’t feel hopeful or excited. A feeling she had tried to forget about, after it had betrayed her so many times. Instead, the blonde felt slightly annoyed. Annoyed someone could be cruel enough to claim to be someone they knew they were not.
But when the guards let the young woman into the throne room and Elsa caught sight of a female who did definitely look like her, while the former girls rarily had something in common with her. A frown appeared on her forehead as she stood up from her throne and gestured her husband to remain seated, she walked down the steps and closer to the female. Breathing slightly harder as she opened her mouth and stared at the other blonde, her voice full of disbelief when she spoke. “Frida?”

“Isn’t it magical?” Kristianna sighs dreamily, eyes trained on the dresses in the shop window. “I wish we’d have balls at the school more. Parties, dancing, and chocolate. It’d be so beautiful, wouldn’t it?”
