hmmmm, well actually seeing your hair now you might not have to do the two step application. But I would suggest buying your own mix from sally's and doing it yourself and not a box dye. Assuming that's what you did in the first place. You just go and find the color you want [they usually always have swatches for you to look at]. I personally think cream dyes are easier to work with than liquid [someone who works there would be able to help you with that. Plus you'd notice the difference in the bottle]. Including if you're new to mixing your own dye. Then just get a 10 volume developer that goes with your brand of color. It's usually a 2:1 ratio to mix but you'd just read the box on the color to be sure about that. Each brand might be different. My personal preference is Wella and Ion colors. Mix well and apply. But I still recommend the deep conditioner first. It will help fix your hair and help the color to stay. If you can do it a week before dying again then one more time two days before coloring. I say this because the state your hair seems to be in. Since I can't touch it I don't know if it actually feels rough but to my eye it does.
Also when you rinse the color out, try to do so with cold water. It doesn't have to be freezing but coldish. This will help close the cuticles of your hair which will also help hold the color in.
I really hope this helps you out.

Wait woah, why would they not let you into a concert because of a DSLR?
I don’t know if it was this venue in particular or if this is the rule for all their concerts but cameras with nice lenses are not allowed because they are considered professional. They checked my purse then told me I would have to either “throw away my camera” or find a car to put it in. I never had a problem with it at other shows!
