honestly i should actually get to work on my sci-fi novel because i probably shouldn’t be hype about the extreme amount of diversity in the protagonist cast (a badass bisexual Latina who’s a robotics genius studying mechatronics engineering in one of the best schools in the world who’s disabled and lost an eye?? her demisexual childhood best friend/romantic interest who she hasn’t seen in three years but is a loyal dude and backs her up and is also a foil to her character while simultaneously having his own plot about wanting power and being greedy for glory (and their relationship is open and honest and resolves miscommunication quickly)?? fraternal twins who have superpowers and the sister must struggle with the aftermath of dating an abusive fucker and her brother is there to help her take him down once and for all??? an android who wants to create peace and stop the prejudice between the races???? a gentleman thief who’s looking to repent and is interested in the lads as much as his wealth????), as the fact that they’re all called to dismantle an oppressive cyberpunk dystopian society where the government seeks to control the populace subtly through propaganda, controlling the news, and so forth in a world that may be on the verge of war again
