I do in fact have a couple of reccos for fics!! I wasn't sure if you were reading BTL on AO3 or ffnet but I usually update on AO3 first but here's a list of some of my fav Trunks fics that are just very well written in my personal opinion

Not sure how you feel about Bulla/Goten, but my friend @au-sirene is also writing a fic, it features them first and foremost with a healthy helping of TruMar on the side. It's a space opera, it's relatively long but she is a fantastic writer that the length didn't matter too much hehe

Here's a long yap session about Trunks and Marron's synastry according to head canons I've created. Along with some n*s*f*w hc's (they are at the end so you can choose to not read it) (I may need to make this post 2 parts due to how long this is)
To start this whole thing off let's start with the Sun and Moon.
Trunks as I had previously explained in other posts regarding his big three is in Scorpio and Marron's is in Cancer...the degrees at which they are makes this a trine.
What that means is that they share a natural understanding of one another without needing to share a full blown conversation. Trunks can see through any charade Marron may try to put up as does Marron.
This is in part, due to their years long friendship-- you can say the same for Goten (and I want to make some head canons for their synastry later down the line...just know I am currently rolling around the idea of him being a Libra or a Pisces...which one kind of depends I haven't analyzed his character nearly as deeply as I have Trunks or Marron)
Anyway their moons are also both air signs, thus in the degrees they are in creates another trine. The moon is the internal workings of a person. Trunks is a Aquarius moon, he is in a sense, detached which when paired with the intensity of his Sun and other placements I will get into it makes it very interesting. Marron craves balance but this while can bring harmony and resonance with one another it also a point of tension between them. Marron is sociable and emotional creature and Trunks is more brooding and perhaps, even more intense than most could ever hope him to be.
Venus and Mars, are planets I didn't talk about. Venus is the planet of love, to but it very superficially. Mars is aggression and sex.
Trunks has his Venus in Capricorn. A strained position to have his Venus (ask me how I know) but this makes him overly cautious and restrained however his Mars is in Scorpio. It feels right at home in this sign and has obsessive, frustrating qualities.
Now-- what is it that we see in the canon material that backs this up? We have seen how Trunks acts when he is in love with someone based on his behavior in Dragon Ball Super. He is intense. Trunks has been after the same woman for a majority of the Super manga (much to my dismay but this isn't a conversation about the ship)
But Trunks is also, cautious. He is constantly trying to win affection and trying to gauge whether this person actually likes him or not...but the obsessive Mars planet make it so that he acts without rationale.
On Marron now... we don't have a lot of canon details. What I can divulge is more head-canon territory. Marron is extremely dynamic she is expressive, she feels things in big ways I have given her a Venus in Leo for this reason, and while yes she can be restrained (in my fics) this is more due to the fact her Mars being in Libra, it's in a debilitated state. This counteracts what Trunks has where his Mars is in a strong position and his Venus is debilitated.
Mars in Libra is a very central point I want to harp on. Marron is...for all intents and purposes, a character who values being fair. Getting into the HC I have for her psyche she is simultaneously braggadocious as she is feeling as if she were undeserving of good things. She knows she is better than a lot of people, and yet will continuously put herself in a position where she is in a disadvantage because she was too giving, too caring, too loving. She reeks of indecision, and it makes things harder for her as she purposefully self-sabotages.
A ying/yang completion, if you will. This causes a push-pull dynamic between them and repressed expressions of emotions in different aspects.
On top of this there is the conversation about their Lilith signs...allow me to give you a warning. I will get into some NSFW / kink head canons here for the rest of this post
!! As many of you know, I HC both Trunks and Marron as Bi, I want to clarify this because I start getting into top/bottom dynamics but I was referring to it here in wlw/mlm relationships the dynamics and behavior still apply between them.
To get this out of the way, Trunks' lilith is in Scorpio, Marron's is in Leo there is an exact square in their chart that creates an almost obsessive tension and temptation. And it's intense.
What does a Lilith in Scorpio mean for Trunks who already has so much in scorpio? It means he not only is intense/possessive but he wants complete surrender and vulnerability from a partner.
There is power dynamics art play when it comes to Trunks/Marron and a very distinct push and pull. When it comes down to it, this is due to the circular nature of their relationship. Almost ouroboros in a sense ?
Trunks can and will relinquish control, and regain it back. He is not one to shy away from being dominant nor dominated, depending on the situation. This is because he enjoys the chase that is associated with sex. I am not saying he is a bottom through and through-- one can make the argument for him being a switch rather than a bottom
So yes, while he may be dominant in some regard, there is also a lot of power than comes in surrendering and with his lilith placement he will crave to explore all of it.
How does this play out with Marron? Marron is also a switch. Depending on who her partner is she will either be dominant or dominated. But with her, what satisfies her craving is being worshipped. She is commanding in ways that Trunks is not, she is expressive and when she finally feels comfortable enough is dancing with desire.
To Marron being worshipped is power-- she has her partners attention and she is now in control.
These placements together create friction and it's electric. There is an element of obsession, and push and pull.
This can create a power struggle between them both where at times, Marron is being seen as the person who is dominating...even if she doesn't have the physical strength she manages, while Trunks allows it to happen only to midway spin everything on it's head.
He enjoys that, because it dips into brat taming. And Marron enjoys it because she likes the struggle. So think of their sexual dynamics like an endless loop.
In a practical sense, summarized sense.
Trunks can be a dom, however if the situation piqes or satisfies some want, he will willingly surrender himself to her.
Marron can and will take the lead after being with him for long enough because she ultimately wields power over him, particularly psychological control.
They will switch. Marron can be straddling him, pinning his arms down and in control, but the minute Trunks no longer wants, he can switch in an instant. Thus leading into the brat tamer.
Marron herself craves the struggle because her personal life is lacking in conflict, the only way for Marron to get out her indecisive frustration can be through sexual encounters and it taps into an aggression she seldom displays.
Additionally, it fuels his need for a challenge.
So they feed off of eachother. Trunks can get both dominance and submission from her, and Marron gets to challenge him.
It's a dynamic where no one actually wins.
