The cell was in the deepest part of the facility, shielded from sunlight and covered in an extra layer of protective padding. There was only one way in or out: a single heavily secured (and thoroughly bolted) maximum security door with a single, sliding window in which to see the person kept within. Red light glowed from within, seeping through the seams. Cadmus had been waiting for this and they were ready for him.
Kal was back on the padded pillow assumed to be a bed when the viewing window was open, perched on the edge with his legs curled to his side. Lifting his gaze, his eyes widened when he saw exactly -who- had come to visit him. His gaze lowered again. “You shouldn’t have come here.”
