A F and L!
Thanks for asking!
A: What do you write? Fanfiction, original fiction, non-fiction, articles, songs, poems, essays, plays, what?
MMMmm well as of the new year I've made it a resolution to write a page daily. And that’s been mostly whatever I could come up with for My OCs for a book I'm planning on writing. (Stuff I'm too nervous to post online for fear of having my OCs/ story ideas taken) [I'm paranoid about things >w>]. But recently I started doing a bit of Fanfiction, stuff I'm planning on posting online on my art blog (Because writing is an art too dammit!). And since I'm still in university, I do have to write essays, but I doubt that counts since they aren't “official essays”
F: What’s your favourite book? Favourite author?
Favourite?Nah
I kid (probably) though in all honesty I enjoy most books I willingly pick up to read. Though I do occasionally go back to Enid Blyton’s books.
L: What advice would you give to other writers?
uuuuuhhhhhhhmmmm
At this point I'm just an amateur at best. But what the heck, I've read enough advice to fill a book about it (hmmm)
Don’t critic before you start writing. Create then edit. One of my biggest issues is getting pen to paper (or more correctly finger to key), mainly due to distractions, but also because I’ll look at a sentence I wrote and be like,
“nope, not good”
(This one was suggested form a friend of mine when i was having issue with how to word something). So say you’re writing a scene, and you can’t get the wording right, so you sit there, unable to continue because you want to make sure this part is correct because you’ll go back to check on what you wrote or whatever. (this is specifically for first drafts)
Forget the prose, you don’t need to be fancy in your first draft. You just need to be able to get it all down. Don’t let getting it sounding right get in the way of getting it all done.
