Thankfully for Ray, Beck was far too not-all-there at the moment to pick up on her barely-restrained excitement. Giving a tuckered yawn, the smaller robot rubbed at his eyes with a closed fist as he listened.
"I…wouldn’t want t…to impose, though…"
And then Ray just took off, leaving Beck with nobody to lean on. Of course, in his current state, he wasn’t about to regain balance quickly, which of course leads to…
Clonk.
"Ow…”
Ayep.
Let’s see, there has to be another mattress somewhere…
Boxes and other broken crates were being ripped open and sifted though. OK, she found pillows, but now she needed another bed so Beck can sleep on it. One of these large shipment containers must have it…it was where she found the first one, actually.
"Come on…”
Clonk.
“Hm?”
Huh, wonder what made that noise. After a while, she shrugged and continued her search.
...Nope. Not here. Or there. Or in that box. Or that one.
...Drat. OK. Plan B.
A few minutes later, she came back with the pillows, some blankets, and a medium sized foam mattress that had just one too many scratch marks for all of the fluffy insides to stay put. But it looked comfy enough.
“Here you go. I, um...hope this is adequate. It’s a little roughed up, but I can find more pillows if you need any...”
Well, she couldn't find another bed, so the next logical thing to do is lend Beck hers. Of course, this left her without a place to sleep, but half of the time she nodded off on that chair in front of the computer anyway. "Don't worry about being in the total dark, I'll leave that thing on." She said, jerking her head to th giant orange screens behind her.
