Actually amazing how every single soul to ever work with Dr. Starline has almost immediately decided “Oh i’m going to backstab the FUCK out of this piece of shit.” Usually because he was thinking the exact same thing.

You know i bet most creators wouldn’t be particularly thrilled with how the memeifcation of their works played out.
You think Bugs Bunny’s creator is happy big chungus’s legacy has practically overshadowed Bugs himself? It’s gotta suck.
However i am absolutely certainly Jim Henson would be THRILLED at how the internet is using Kermit the frog. He had such naturally chaotic energy at his inception and we have taken that to a natural extreme.

Finally playing FF7 Remake like two years late and I’m loving Cloud “I’ll do it but i’m complain the whole time” Strife.
Can i just say it’s so impressive to me how casually New Horizons destroyed gender? Think about it, there was no soapboxing from Nintendo, no “EVERYBODY LOOK! Animal Crossing has our first nonbinary protagonist! Aren’t we progressive?!”
None of that shit. The game just came out and said “Gender? Never heard of it.” And went about it’s buisiness. You don’t choose boy or girl, you choose a “style” which in the long run basically boils down to “would you like eyelashes?” Because you can choose any hairstyle and wear any clothing.
And yeah, other Animal Crossing games let you wear any clothing, but there’d be some comment like “oh, are you getting that as a gift? No, for yourself? Okay, yeah, it looks good on you!” Not here. You buy a dress looking like a guy and nobody bats an eye. ON TOP OF THAT, which i’m quite certain is a first for the series, other villagers will wear whatever clothing they want as well!
Long story short, Animal Crossing didn’t say “fuck gender” it said, “i don’t even know what that is.” And that is so powerful, i am 200% here for it.
By the way, reminder that Scott Cawthon was donating money to anti-lgtb conservative politicians, and even if he’s not directly involved with Security Breach, is still collecting royalties from the series.
So if you feel the need to play the game, pirate it or something. Just don’t support that asshat.
