And the hand-sewing lesson went very well! She was a little scared of sticking her finger with the needle for a bit but was very attentative and picked it up quickly! Have to say she was better at her first time ladder stitching than i was! The horn gave her a bit of a problem but we struggled through it and all with laughs and giggles. Overall i don't think we could have picked a better pattern to learn on - she was so happy to see her finished Narwhal who by the way is named Mister Lumpy cause she couldn't get her stuffing as smooth as mine 😁. And he is DONE! My Grumpy Gus here is finally finished! He is made from minky, glaxacy cotton, and faux fur. He has safety eyes and his whiskers are wired for posability :) Grumpy is approximately 20" long from tip of tail to tip of nose and approximately 9" tall from bottom of front foot to tip of his horn. So overall he was a fun project and I think with a few tweaks to suit my sewing style a little more this will definitely be one added to my con stock in various forms! His pattern and instructions were well written and easy to follow and his pattern is very easily adaptable to all kinds of styles and alterations. Finished my entry for the TeacupLion fanart Contest ( #TeacupLion )!!! I did not think i was going to be able to make an entry for this contest since i have been busy with cons/art shows/ and commissions but a shipping mishap put all my commissions on hold for today (wrong colors shipped, etc, etc.) So i was able to work on something for it! I dedcided to go a bit old school and chose an anime character from when my kids were little and getting into anime! I made a Roronoa Zoro from One Piece (style based on his look right before he joined the Strawhat Crew). Poor little NeNe. We just got him back from the vet this morning after having to take him and get a tumor removed from his foot! He is one of our outside boys and is very confused and clingy atm. He really hates the cone of shame and doesn't want to let go of me or his "bubby" (my son). He has to stay inside until Monday when he has to go back to the vet for a checkup. Poor thing is just as miserable as i am woth this cold. Now if only him and Baby would get along it would be great! #poorkitty #sickkitty #hurtkitty #mihijime #sickofbeingsick #sosick
