Then, he finally takes out the ring and slides it onto its rightful place.

He immediately feels more himself, though he's still missing the man that goes along with the accessory.

Summary:

Back when Verso still believed himself to be just another face in Lumière’s crowd, he was becoming quite impatient with waiting for his soulmate to appear so they could bring colours into each other’s lives. It wasn’t really that much about the colours themselves, music brought the depth into the world for Verso, but he wanted someone to write the melodies for.

Then, Verso learnt the truth and knew that, in a world where no one was supposed to go through life alone, he was a fake made to exist without anyone to complete his soul.

It’s more than half a century later when fate mocks him again.

7 Sentence Sunday WIP challenge

I was tagged by @negatywka and @kas-delafere <3 Aaand yes I decided that, since I was tagged twice, you're getting 14 sentences.

Oh, and since I don't think I currently have anyone else to tag further here... if you're seeing this and you've got a fic you're working on, you're it!

Now, here we go with my WIP. Under the cut there's a fragment from part 3 of my verstave but they are obsessive freaks au series >:D

”If they start calling us Romeo and Juliet, I’m not going to stand it. And they will,” Gustave announces with distaste. “Comparing us to impulsive teenagers just because we’re from rival families. Which are not supposed to be rival anymore. And we’re not that idiotic.”

Verso hums in thought. “It will be cliche, but then… I may as well be that idiotic when it comes to you.”

”Stop it.”

In response Verso finally moves his gaze right at his partner and waits until Gustave returns the look before he speaks next.

”I do love you more than my own life.”

Gustave’s face falls into something painful, he suddenly stands up and starts pacing in front of the sofa. Verso puts his hands on his knees and squeezes in order to ground himself. It doesn’t help. 

He can’t help the panic invading his chest. After all of the obsessive episodes Verso had, this is the last drop?

[This was one of the first scenes I wrote when I decided to make that first oneshot into a series. It's been waiting for two months now for its time and it will have to wait some more since part 2 was an impulsive addition and then I wrote something completely different. But this WIP is my current priority!]

You know, the man he goes on deadly dangerous missions with. Also, he is a daft ass to catch on to his own feelings after they’ve worked together so long. They’ve been friends for a while, Soap may have thought once or twice before what it would be like to be under the man in different circumstances than one of them dying – he’s got eyes and swings both ways, no one can blame him. But right now, after yelling at Ghost while invading the man’s apartment… Now he recognizes how much he cares.

The brainrot is real! My first soapghost fic, I hope y’all will enjoy this little oneshot >:D
