[hospital meme] Jim was sure he had never felt as sick as when Leonard had disappeared. He had almost made himself ill with worry, only getting by with Uhura's gentle prodding for him to look after himself. So when he found out that Bones was alive, but barely, he was of course at the hospital as quickly as he could be. He stood at the end of Bones' bed, observing. "Bones?" He asked softly. He didn't know if he was awake. They hadn't told him. "Leo?"
Leonard blinked slowly, his surroundings becoming clearer after another blink. He recognised Jim’s voice, and he felt instantly safer at the sound. He cleared his throat, and tried to sit up. He let out a small noise of pain, and decided that moving was possibly a bad idea. Hospital. He was in hospital. What the hell had happened?
"Jim," he said, and his voice was hoarse from disuse, and most probably having tubes shoved down his throat at one point or another, "Jim? I don’t…" he wanted to check the stats on the screen he knew would be beside the biobed, but moving was too painful, and he wasn’t keen to attempt it again.
"Jim?" he reached out a hand blindly, feeling suddenly afraid.
