WEDDING DETOX UPDATE… ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ ☀ I'm a strong believer in stepping back and enjoying life for life's sake. And it's so so important to breathe and renew your energy when you're going through an important life event, like my upcoming wedding to the ever charming @nickambrose.

After our Bachelor parties, I came down with an intense bout of negative energy. When your body shuts down, when negative energy makes it hurt to speak, that's basically the universe asking you to slow down and invite good energy into your life. So that's what I've been doing these past weeks, slowing down, spending time with Nick and reconnecting with my aquifer of positive energy.

I've been making a point to care after my nutrition, my body and my fiance, and I'm finally at a point where I feel that I can give back. I'm centred and full of love and excitement to enter this upcoming phase of life.

So to celebrate my rekindled life force, for the next month I will be giving discounted sports massages to three luck BeFit members (first come first served), and the sassy Yassers out there can look forward to some wedding exclusive flavours and merch we'll be dropping the next couple of months. I expect to see everyone drop by BeFit to say hello and to give me all of the latest goss!

How has your muse developed or changed since you brought them on? What pivotal moments fueled those changes?

When Mik first arrived on the island he was at his absolute rock bottom, having lost everything, including Nick. Now he's reconnected with Nick, and they've gone through a few rough patches together on their time on Meridium (and come out stronger?). So despite being stuck on a murderous island, Mik has returned back to himself, returned to being charismatic, positive Mik who brushes over the nasty, shitty things life (Meridium) throws at him and cherry picks the moments he wants to believe in.

Mik's had his most pivotol moments with Nick, from fighting about him running off, to burning him (in a splendid mirror image of the own scar that Emre left him with), to becoming newly engaged with Nick (because a rushed marriage fixes all communication problems, right?). Dion can also claim the most pivotal moment of all, Mik's creation, which began when she asked me to help her bounce ideas around for creating Nick in the first place. You can also blame her for deciding to name them Nick and Mik! Let the witchhunt begin! 🔥

I've also loved all of the friendships that Mik's developed on the island, which has really brought out his charismatic, people pleasing side. So thank you to Joquin, the best unexpected bffle, Kaz, the stray cat who is doing his best to ignore Mik as he desperately tries to make him his best friend, Jupiter, for failing to vibe check this man and his shady MLM talk and to Sae Byeok, for joining the bisexual sky appreciation club. Everyone else, just you wait, soon you'll all be honourary members of the fistbump appreciation society (Mik's friendship group!).

Of course, a face is only as good as a heel, and I love the complicated relationship Mik has developed with Emre. Emre manages to draw out the worst of Mik, and it's really fun to write Mik dropping his forcefully happy attitude with Emre! And the fact that Emre wants Mik to think the worst of him… It simply makes me feral.

I would love to have more people confront him about his toxic positivity, confront his cognitive dissonance over the fact that he profitted off of a pyramid scheme (and other scams) but that he sees himself as a good person! I'm looking forward to more opportunities to develop Mik going forward! He has been here for nearly a year now! 😵🥴 To another! 🍾
