Wolf & Badger // Summer Fete // Party
Being a Greenwich boy, west London is like a foreign land to me, but sometimes needs must, and Wolf and Badger's summer fete was a must. Due to an apparent inability to read my emails properly I had missed their last party and I was not repeating that mistake. So armed with my camera, a close personal friend and my above average thirst for Pimms out west I went. I was not disappointed!
Check out the loveliness below, from up and coming to well established designers. As ever the mix was dominated by womenswear and there were some amazing pieces. Such as Mika Bashan's laser cut leather, which was genuinely beautiful. When it came to the menswear U.Mi-1 are definitely one's to watch and I hope to grab one of their shirts, which looked both militaristic and lightweight. Unfortunately my images do it no justice, but click through to the Wolf & Badger Designer directory to have a better look. As well as some great great formalwear pieces from Braille. But us boys were better served in the accessories lines with hats Anthony Peto (a particular straw top hat meets boater I practically had to wrestle off my friend), and the fantastic leather belts (see pics below) from Zanacco, who's two tone shoes also looked great.
Womenswear accessories were equally strong with the likes of Miquella, leaving me more than a little jealous. There are just some things I can't get away with. I've already spoken about my new fave sunnies from Glassing, and there were some delightful cufflinks too.
I'll be honest I could easily have maxed out all the cards and my friends that eve, but we were both very restrained. Maybe a little too restrained. It's a rare thing and I hope it wont happen again soon.
I could wax lyrical all night on the clothes, accessories, little trinkets, design pieces, ice cream and more, but let's face that makes for very dull reading indeed. Instead, don't just take my word for it, head over to Wolf and Badger, and have a look yourself. Even better than that, if you're in the area, and it'll be a welcome respite from the madness of Portabello Rd, drop in and have a look round. If you leave disappointed I'll forgo Pimms for the rest of the summer*
