Glitter, gyrating men and neon lighting wasn't exactly Baz's scene but the shifts he picked up at random to work the doors of different establishment did give him two benefits he couldn't pass up -- extra money and a chance to hang around the blonde bartender without it being weird.
( That and he's been told his mean mug was perfect for making people rethink arguing about being told not tonight. )
It was an even stranger place to be on the wrong end of 2 in the morning, when the mass excitement had worn down and there was no one to throw singles at.
"Some chick nearly swung out of my arm when I stopped her from falling out of here raving about Mystic Mikayla." It wasn't the first time either that he heard she had a skill that wasn't relegated to being necessary to tending bar, and his interest was piqued. Plus it gave him an excuse to be inside talking to her rather than at the door thinking up a reason to.
"When you gonna do me?"
