Known for: Main family of the television sitcom The Kids Are Alright. They are a family of 10 living in suburban Los Angeles in the 1970s, as told from the point of view of the son Timmy. They are a family with eight sons, & the show deals with their many adventures, trials, tribulations, & situations they get themselves in, whether it’s based on events taking place at the time or something else entirely. Their life & adventures are semi-autobiographical, as influence was taken from the life of the show’s creator & narrator, Tim Doyle. Besides Timmy, the other members of the family are Mike (the father), Peggy (the mother), Lawrence, Eddie, Frank, Joey, William, Pat, & Andy.
Evidence of Faith: The show makes it very clear from the start that the Cleary Family is an Irish Catholic family, which, according to a Variety article, is what creator Tim Doyle grew up in & based his show around.
