Hello friends, it’s Megan your local Ashton hoe here.

You might have noticed that I’ve practically dropped off of the face of the earth lately (or not, that’s cool too). I just wanted to let you guys know that I’m taking kind of a semi-hiatus from my blog for the foreseeable future. There are a few reasons for that, which you may or may not care to read about but I’m going to write them here anyways for the two people who might be interested :-P

My summer has turned out to be busier than I’d expected and as I’ve been away I’ve kind of re-evaluated my priorities and what I want to be spending my time on. I hadn’t really realised exactly HOW MUCH time I’d been spending on my blog, to the exclusion of family time and personal responsibilities and even taking care of myself. I’ve been asking myself what I want to be remembered for, and what I’m doing about that. And sadly (obviously) spending all my time on tumblr isn’t helping that goal.

I’ve been dealing with depression for the past little while (I’m actually not sure exactly how long, to be honest) and tumblr became my place to hide from “real life” and thinking about and dealing with whatever I need to think about and deal with. (Wow that sure made a whole lot of sense didn’t it?!) Now instead of hiding in tumblr I’m trying to journal and stuff instead, which I think is helping. Also I’ve been staying up WAY later than is healthy for me and my annoying need for LOTS of sleep, and I’m just tired of having to drag my butt out of bed every morning exhausted from lack of sleep on top of depression and going around with huge puffy bags under my eyes (like really girl, you’re enough of a mess already, don’t add to it. sheesh).

Another thing is that I’m looking for a full-time job. Which takes more time than I’d thought it would. (Actually, I’m supposed to be working on a cover letter right now....) And following on from the previous paragraph, I refuse to show up to work every day groggy and relying on coffee and sheer willpower to be able to be productive, because yikes that’s super unprofessional and plain dumb!!

I’d love to stay in touch with you guys in the meantime though, especially those of you who I’ve talked with in the past, but even if we’ve never talked please come say hi!! I’m still going to pop in to check my messages and check my tag (please please please tag me in the stuff you make or write ok???!!! I’ll reblog every single piece of it and I love seeing what amazing creations you come up with! tag me in your selfies too while you’re at it, every one of you is a beautiful person and I love you heaps!). And if anyone ever needs to talk about anything, I’m here for you <3 (Where was I going with this?? Oh yeah...if you want to swap numbers or kiks or snapchats or instagrams or whatever PLEASE let’s do it, I’m always scared of being annoying so I’m not going to ask you lol whoops)

ANYWHO yeah this got a little bit out of hand but basically I’m not going to be on here very much but I love you guys so let’s keep in touch and I’m going to tag everyone I’ve ever talked with (and some other people too) but feel free to ignore this if you want that’s cool and I’m rambling now so I’m gonna shut up and yeah
