Also, mystics are awesome and the fact that you work hard to learn magic that is difficult for you to learn makes you even more awesome!

It really depends! Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't! The science behind it is still being determined! There were theories that it did considering how many generations of Avani resulted in similar Cores, but in recent (like fifty or so years, something like that) discoveries, it's not the case! All I know is that my family, the Van Zauber's, have been mostly Fire Cores! All except for my father, anyway lmao. ^^;

Powered up forms are natural transformations for my people! Most have changes in their eyes, wings, etc, but nothing grows besides maybe their general size-- I however, grow horns! It's weird.

In my powered up form, my ears grow longer, I get poofier, my sclera turn dark, i get cat like eyes, and my canine teeth grow longer as well. Oh! and the marks under my eyes get crazier too lmao.

It only happens in extreme emotions, btw! that's the case with most Avianine. the more passionate emotions are, the more power our core gives our powered up forms!

It's all very fascinating! It's sort of why my specialties on barracks is biological alchemy! We don't have a lot of hands in the lab nowadays considering... well, we won't get into that ^^;

And thank you! I try anyway ^^ I'm not as coordinated in combat when it comes to melee, so I have to be extra coordinated with what I'm good at! It's what got me on this mission in the first place.

Magic and mystics are SOOOOO much cooler than hairdressers! (And probably better? I can't really dye my hair because my scalp is sensitive 😞)

Also, fire magic? Awesome! What sorta fire magic can you do? Do you create flames? Manipulate them into different shapes? Change the intensity of the heat?

All sorts of fire magic! fire balls, fire beams, molten hot piles of magma-- My affinity is fire! In my culture, when you are born, you have what is called a Core element, the one that you are most in tune with. My mother is also a Flame Core and my father is Earth. The element your core is tends to correlate with the easiest magic that us Avianine (bird dog yokai) can use! It also tends to reflect in our "powered up" forms, although mine has always looked a little different ^^;

There's not a fire or flame based spell that I don't know! if there are, I can easily learn it with my Core. And yes, because I have a fire core, ice and water based magic is often times harder for me to learn, but I work extra hard to learn them to combat it! I learn from the best and Mystic's all I really got going for me lmao.

anyway it’s cool that you can use magic like that!!

Alas, that is the unfortunate reality of non-yokai 😔 of course, we don't have the luxury of hair dressers and other services like that on the other side of the wall—its sort of a rich human privilege so magic is our only option!

If the humans had their way, they'd outlaw mystics altogether, but I think they know better than to do that :3

Depending on what kind of magic you're able to use, it's actually a simple spell! Altering appearances is one of the beginner spells you can learn! It definitely saves on dye that's for sure c:

Although if you're a human, it may be... hard to do considering you don't have like the ability to use mystics :v

Oof, yeah I get your frustrations. Especially since Donnie is in pain and there's not much you can do.

I don't really understand why it's better to have only 1 doctor. Why can't there be 2? I mean, I guess there might be some conflict, but still....

Alexandri has some experience with first aid, right? Hopefully, that'll be enough until tomorrow. And if things do turn for the worst, his mom would be able to get there, right?

Hello! Alexandri here! Hijacked Mikey's phone to answer your burning questions!

The reason it's better to have only one doctor to handle Donnie is because of the Psychological Ramifications that comes with multiple faces after the traumas that come with being a subject in PBH. Especially with the circumstances, any kind of doctor is going to probably trigger a trauma response, and especially if said Doctor wears a white doctors coat, it most definitely will. My mother is in the practice of making her patients comfortable, and usually that means wearing casual or comfortable clothing.

My mother specializes in the treatment of Betahound recovery and knows much more about the psychological damage done to subjects such as Donatello. She is more equipped and prepared for whatever may come from what has happened to him. Big Mama's doctor (Although I am sure he is well qualified to treat injuries), has no experience in the matter. Which is WHY she is the best option for Donatello's health.

She is trained in every possible treatment, has treated several Betahounds including Markus as well as the other known incomplete Beta (which is what we consider Donatello since he did not finish the first phase), and considering she is Chief Medic where we're from, she is the obvious pick. Big Mama is just being petty against our General, Damon.

And to answer your last question: I am more than experienced in first aid. I just don't have all the tools or training in the bigger issues that I suspect may be happening with him. And I hope so too, because none of us want him to die.

Damon has given us the order to get my mother here if anything goes critical in the night. She could be here in a heartbeat if she needed to. I just hope it doesn't come to that.
