Having moved to Paris for university, Leevi returns to his native Finland for the summer to help his estranged father renovate the family lake house so it can be sold. Tareq, a recent asylum seeker from Syria, has been hired to help with the work, and when Leevi's father has to return to town on business, the two young men establish a connection and spend a few days discovering one another during the Finnish midsummer.

A study of the relationship between two people of different backgrounds and experiences. A relatively small movie including just a few actors, but being done in a well manner with a clear vision of what it was trying to achieve, so for me there weren’t much unnecessary moments in the movie. It has a calm and serene vibe and the beautiful Finnish nature scenery coupled with a secluded lakehouse contributed to the feeling of intimacy between the characters. However, for me personally, I missed some more dynamics in the story and I didn’t get the sense of closure in the end.
