Happy One Thousand Mikus, everyone! Thanks for sticking around so long, I definitely did not expect this to last (checks notes) 5 years as of the 8th. Quite the project if I do say so myself, even with various breaks in posting. Hopefully I’ll be sticking around for the next 1000, see you then!

whats ur favorite pink miku :3?

I tend to like pink Mikus best when its an accent color, as opposed to 100% pink like Sakura Miku.

I really like the Doll Crystal Miku figure, her hair has a gradient to translucent pink I think is perfect, I got her as soon as could after she came out. The first pink Miku that came to mind though is the Date Outfit Ver. Nendoroid Doll, I want her so bad, the only way she could be more perfect is if her hair had the pink dip dye or streaks. So I'll consider that my favorite for now.

These are actually two different garage kits. The first one is Space Channel 5 garage kit by Mugenkyou, and the second one is the Space Channel 5 by the circle by Mine (by the sculptor カッちゃん).

You could mix it up with other vocaloids! Obvious choice probably but I know there's plenty nice costumes for them too :>

I'll actually take the opportunity to shout out some other blogs here! I don't really feel the passion to run a blog like this for vocaloids that aren't Miku, but if you're interested in seeing some, here's a few!

@kaito-module-of-the-day is still diligently active despite the low numbers of designs he has! send some requests or draw some fan art!

@meikomoduleoftheday is also dedicated to a lesser loved cryptonloid/piapro character and reblogs older posts to still be active

@lukamodule-oftheday OR @lukamoduleoftheday both seem to no longer be active anymore but are still good archives to browse (the former was more active recently)

@kagaminemodules is a more infrequent poster

@vocafigoftheday is another one of my sideblogs that i recently picked back up and have been filling the queue on that includes other vocaloids, but every other day IS miku due to my bias and the overall merch bias towards her

Hiii! Hopefully this ask is ok! Basically, I'm quite a new figurew collected (~1 year) and have never bought second hand before. I'm looking for some help identifying if some figures are legit. I know your blog obviously doenst pertain to figures, but I was wondering if you potentially know anything about them, or if youre able to point me in the direction of anyone who does. Thanks!

the best resource for identifying if a figure is legitimate is looking at the website myfigurecollection(dot)net ! virtually every miku figure ever made is available, as well as indications if bootlegs of the figure are known to exist.

warning that the website does feature adult figures and artworks, however!

MikuMod: I'm gonna add a few extra tips for buying secondhand here now, actually.

If looking through ebay, avoid listings that use ONLY the official stock photos, look for photos taken by the lister of the actual object they own.

Avoid listings that say things like 'China version', 'new without box', or 'new without stand'. These are bootlegs.

If you do see user photos, you can cross-reference them with myfigurecollection's bootleg database.

Prices that are too good to be true ARE too good to be true. Nendoroids under 20 dollars, scales figures that are less than 50% their retail price, etc. The only way these might possibly be legitimate is if the seller notes they are damaged or missing pieces and just needs it gone.

These tips are mostly for ebay. Amazon is a wasteland of disgustingly overpriced stock and, often still, bootlegs.

Oh, another resource that I've gotten a fair amount of my secondhand figures from is amiami.com. They have an entire section of secondhand items for often very cheap. The main downside is the shipping is pricy, I recommend splitting orders with friends or at least getting more than one item to justify it.
