Milabrega was initially planned to be a normal human girl adorned in elegant gothic lolita fashion who became a necromancer after a fateful encounter with Tsuguna Twinlook by borrowing her necronomicon. Her creator realized last second that backstory wouldn't make sense because Tsuguna has already used her spellbook material so she was instead retconned to become a shinigami (god of death/grim reaper).
She is stated as being "a little too eager" to harvest human souls.
Trivia:
The name "Milabrega" refers to the "Milabrega's Regalia" item set from the game Diablo II, released in the year 2000 by Blizzard Entertainment.
