MARIN MAZZIE as LILY GARLAND/MILDRED PLOTKA On the Twentieth Century, Actor's Fund Benefit Concert [2005]
“Trilby found her voice, she doesn’t need Svengali! you’ve got nothing and I’ve got it all!” –I’ve Got It All, On the Twentieth Century Actor’s Fund Benefit Concert [2005]
MARIN MAZZIE as LILY GARLAND/MILDRED PLOTKA and DOUGLAS SILLS as OSCAR JAFFEE
okay but “Poor Lily, you’ve gone stale” in I’ve Got it All from On The Twentieth Century is just. I love it. Oscar is really dramatically expressive during the whole show song, and to hear his voice waver after Lily’s singing about her Bel Air estate, champagne and her Rolls Royce, and him actually (somewhere inside) fearing she changed, and she’s not longer his Lily is just. Wow.
There is no stronger challenge than an independent woman indeed.
