Hear me out y'all, Selkie Duncan
Could be traditional seal selkie, could be a bear selkie or even and aurochs but just Ser Dunk walking around with a cloak of fur, stumbling a bit like his human body isn't quite natural for him. Being very possessive of his cloak yet wrapping it around Egg whenever he fears the boy is too cold.
Perhaps even, Duncan's nature being clocked easily by a well traveled sailor Lyonel and a well read Baelor. Both too interested in finding out if it's true to let the man die on the field.
