One of the great satisfactions of doing #Milkfist has been seeing our contributors continue to chase and realize their dreams. Especially satisfying, as well, is seeing them produce such remarkable work. Milkfist Issue Two contributor Mila Jaroniec (@deadbeatsouls) is no exception. Her debut novel "Plastic Vodka Bottle Sleepover" came out a couple months ago from Split Lip Press (@splitlippress) and it is a powerful, mature, and stirring read in the tradition of Joan Didion and Irvine Welsh but with a distinctly au courant sensibility. The prose is refined and the story heavy-hearted, narrated by a voice both unique and convincing, and the subject matter is dark and real in a way that only the most honest fiction can be.
