They were all brought into this world for two reasons only. To be killed young and sold as veal, and to keep their mothers producing milk. Instead of drinking their mothers' milk, and bonding, these innocent calves are removed from their mothers within minutes of birth, and locked inside these small crates for the remainder of their short lives. They will never know the warmth and comfort of their mothers; they will have no interaction or contact with any living being. They will be chained inside crates all alone, long days and dark cold nights, until death. Their Mothers are trapped, remaining prisoners in factories, becoming more and more crushed, empty, heart broken shells with each stolen calf; their baby's milk constantly, mechanically, and heartlessly extracted, even as their udders bleed, and excrete pus. Their Mothers will spend three to four years--the average cut short life span in a hellhole--repeatedly impregnated, to ultimately endure the separation and loss of the baby they love, the new life they grew inside their bodies for 9 months. Their calves are a "by product" of the dairy industry, and will be killed within a few months of being born. They are chained, unable to move around, in order to prevent muscle development; because we humans insist our animal meat be tender. Their life inside their Mothers was longer lived, than the life they are allowed outside of their Mothers' bodies. They're fed low iron formula to keep them weak; to keep their baby muscles tender, to be processed as veal; that tender meat on the menu. Meat is a leading cause of cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Dairy causes fertility problems. The countries with the highest rate of osteoporosis are the countries that consume the most dairy.
