#milkshake supremacy

we were in a crochet class yesterday and were tought how to crochet a shawl like this. I obviously had to try to make it in milkshake size and on second attempt I got it around the right proportions. It's a bit shorter then it should be but the embroidery thread was only so long.

Milkshake really likes how it looks tied around her neck and on her head. she does look absolutelly adorable I have to agree <3<3<3

Just look at her. She baby. So kissable. So so SOOOO kissable.

Trying to make hood for her was an. Adventure. this is like the 4th try. I was originally referencing an ob11 pattern, but that obviously was too small (so was the body, but that was salvageable with additional panel between the legs). Took a bunch of adjustments to make it work.

Gee the hood is giant. The fact that the fabric is thick isn't helping either. But the hood is loose enought and I think it probably would fit with most of the bonnies (pigtails excluded. idk about the braids, but there's a posibility) but I can't exactly check.

(also, don't mix stretchy and not stretchy fabric in the same sewing project if you don't know what you're doing. Cuz I sure don't know what I'm doing and things are not turning out how I expected that's for sure)

Today Milkshake was in a movie theater! She almost cried before the movie and after the movie and totally cried during the movie itself (Dogman (2025) is a good movie, we recomend). We got sushi afterwards (we don't recomend sushi with feta). She tried to hold the chopsticks but they're way to big! We also managed to go to a fabric store! So many cute tiny patterns.

Her head is so much more stable then milkshakes. Like Gosz. it doest lean backwards all the time. It's hard for me to tell how much of that is caused by the hair shape (therefor weight distribution) and how much is caused by the stringing (milkshakes stringing does seem a bit looser then mangos). Matcha tho has head way more secure but also way less posable then the both of them. that i blame on the hair shape.

The hair shape also makes hoods imposibke to put in.the hood was designed to fit milkshake (extra space for the longer hair) but fits matchas well enought (not perfect but works) here tho it's just. Imposible. which like expected really *shrug*.

Also another curious thing is that mangos skin is of more peachy shade then milkshakes (which is a more beige and also a bit more smooth) but also of similar peachy shade to matcha. I orginally thought that starry night series just uses difrent resin then sweetheart party but that clearly is incorect. next possible theory that milkshakes resin changed colour a bit from use and age (I do like holding my dolls a lot and milkshake is the oldest out of those 3. tho she is maybe a bit more then 1 years old while matcha has a few months and mango is brand new. so like. Unsure if thats enought time to change the colour like that. tho it is long enought to make the white clothes I made them a bit gray so maybe they all just need a gentle wash.
