I hate that sometimes I get excited to write something and even start writing it. Then at some point I decide that I should finish it the next day.
And then the next day my brains like: "Remember that idea you had yesterday, the one you were super proud of and excited about? Well, it actually sucks. No one wants to read that."
And then I never finish it.

My white friend called me racist because I won’t let my sims family marry/have kids with white sims. My first time playing with the starting sim (a black woman) she married a white guy and their kids turned out ugly. The second time with the same starting character she married a hispanic guy and their kids are cute. Now the twin girls are adults and I’m having them marry only people of color. The younger twin married a black man she met in college, and the older twin is now romantically involved with her boss because he’s the only man of color who doesn’t have a shit personality (I swear the creators of the sims are racist as hell because a lot of the premade sims of color have pretty awful personalities whereas the white sims tend to have positive personalities with maybe one negative trait that is fairly harmless).
Now I’m wondering if by not allowing my sims to marry white sims, am I somehow perpetuating negative stereotypes against people of color? I would think not since the goal of the challenge I am doing is to build wealth for the family over several generations, but I’m white so I could be missing something. How is it racist to let a family of color acrue several generations worth of wealth?
If I had a family of white sims who only married white sims I doubt this friend would see that as racist. Most premade and computer generated sims are white, and when I told my friend that she said “of course they are, it’s the sims”. Right, it’s the sims. It can be racially diverse instead of mostly white people.
I’m thinking of making a bunch of sims of color, and placing them around town to make the town more diverse. Instead of 8 white families, an Asian family, and a Black family.
I really don’t think it would be racist to make my sims town not predominantly white.
