I blame millennial grey on Neptune in Capricorn 👇 1. Grey is a common color associated with Earth, especially Capricorn. 2. Neptune represents the dreams, hopes, beliefs, & values of a generation. As well as disillusionment, collective spirituality, the culture they are fed and/or shape to be real. Capricorn is survival, greed, productivity, hard work, too much work, burdens, melancholy, but also success, riches, & purpose. All themes that you can connect to “drab or sad” grey or “cutting-edge minimalist” grey. 3. Because millennial grey came from the color being so cheap it was used everywhere, this can be looked at as a piece of the struggle millennials have had to go through. Capricorn is certainly a sign of struggles. 4. Because grey at the time was seen as modern and chic, you can tie it into the “dreams” millennials had as they were growing up and becoming independent. It was a practical clean slate.

I want to start a band that plays a lot grunge/alt songs from the late 90's early 00's and call it Millennial Grey.

I came across "why millennials have no taste" in my YouTube feed and frankly at this point I think it's rage bait

Millennials can't afford shit, but when they do it's usually something maximalistic and interesting. The tasteless ones are of idk what demo but the bullshit rich people quiet luxury are the ones buying all white and beige and grey because they can afford the upkeep on that

(Arguably rich people, divorced from reality as they are with their wealth, are the weirdos with basic taste.)

That or people don't want to/can't invest in stuff they truly like and therefore have to consider the next tenant or the next owner of the property, perhaps

I think the generational divide is a distraction from class divides. Maybe a very frivolous one as it usually amounts to the "omg you part your hair this way" kind of stuff, as opposed to the race, sexuality, or gender based divides that get a lot more dangerous for people.

I would wonder if people are noticing the artifice in the media - the fake generational wars.

Side note: if you like white, beige, and grays because it all matches nicely -- hey you do you. I just think it's bullshit to attribute it to millennials and not along class lines or anything like that (class lines or due to the economic stress of keeping your life bland to suit your landlord/the next owner of the home)
