About LGBT Health Awareness Week
The National Coalition for LGBT Health is pleased to announce the 14th annual National LGBT Health Awareness Week, March 28-April 1, with the theme of “OUTvisible: Redefining Stigma in LGBT Healthcare from Invisible to OUTvisble.” The theme is based on feedback from a survey of Coalition members, who identified stigma as a key issue in LGBT healthcare. Some of the stigmas facing LGBT individuals include those surrounding STDs, HIV, PrEP usage, and mental health, in addition to discrimination when accessing healthcare.
