ok i’ll make some comments about this book so far, so... spoilers ahead for “the girl who kicked the hornet’s nest” or as i call it millennium 3
i think there’s something of genius about this story, because it shows how easy is for man to paint a picture about a woman that isn’t true based on estereotypes and prejudice, and how the system is built to make it easier to do.
there’s so much involved in lisbeth’s case and so many men trying to destroy her life to protect a filthy sex dealer............. and there’s so much of the media also, about how the media is built to guilt a person based on prejudice and misoginy.
salander’s story is a study of a violation of human rights and how society (the police, the secret police, the government, the media, the public eye, everybody) treats women who are different from the norm and react to the violence towards them. and that makes me quite anxious to know how this story ends, bc it’s impossible now, until the point i read in the book, to think about she getting free and charged not guilty.
