This was a nice fish and it came from a pool where I caught the biggest river rainbow trout of my life 20 years ago. That’s a size 8 Black Ghost in the lip for reference. But I’m getting to the point where I’m not really interested in catching stocked fish. From this pool I got 4 browns, 3 bows, 2 smallmouth and a brook trout. The brook trout was the only fish that was wild and native. I also have it on good authority that Jim Bender of the Lower Forty rose an Atlantic salmon here 3 times back in the day.
