Eli rode his bike to the familiar passage near Owen’s neighborhood. He smoked through his last purchase, and his current supplier was out of town on another pick up run. Frustrated, Eli reached out to an acquaintance, Owen Milligan. These days, they were civil to each other, but they certainly didn’t have any noteworthy history. Still, desperate times seemed to create opportunities for desperate measures. He walked up to the quiet house, texting Owen to let him know he’d arrived.

Homecoming at Degrassi wouldn’t be complete without a touch of dramatics, and this year certainly didn’t disappoint. Anya had lost track of where things had been left off with which participant of the various bickering rounds she’d been a part of, but she’d begun and ended the night with Owen, making the whole thing worthwhile. Boy in toe, Anya led the way back into the empty house, flicking on the nearest light and immediately kicking off her heels by the door. “Maybe we’ll skip the next dance,” she joked, turning to face Owen, her arms soon finding their way around his neck. “Too much fighting and your pocket music was better anyway.“
