* Taming the Texas Tycoon

I think I have already read a Mills Boon book where the woman's last name was Thornton. That was Samantha Thornton, I guess? I almost didn't read the story because of that. Turns out they weren't the same, after all. I can see myself in Kate Thornton. Except for the horn-rimmed glasses. I seldom wear mine. But the baggy clothes and zero appeal? Yep. That's me right there. The engagement of the man of her dreams got her thinking of her appearance and she changed. I can see that in myself, too. Nobody got engaged in my life, tho. It was a typical Mills Boon story in my opinion. :) No wait. I think this is the first time where the guy actually knelt down on one knee and proposed. From what I can remember. It was really romantic, too. Swoon. :)

Typical Mills Boon story. I like the catch at the end though. About Annalise being Isabelle's biological mom. I have to admit, I didnt expect that. All in all a not-so-bad read. :)

I loved it. I can say that this has been one of my best reads where Mills Boon is concerned. See? Read it for a day. An achievement for me. Its been a while since I got interested in a MB book. Horray. :D So basically now I am looking for the Blake Jarrod to my Samantha Thompson. Tall, dark and sexy. Oh, and the history of the book, the Jarrod Dynasties, was an added bonus, I suppose. I have read the first book of the series, about Erica and Christian, and although the series had different authors per book, it didn't disappoint me. Two thumbs up for the Jarrods and their sexgods-like family! ;D

Nothing to say, really. Just the usual Mills Boon story. Although Nick the bad boy-look was pretty... seducing. ;) Plus, I liked how the author had the wit to name Nick's hotels Phant-A-Sea. Fantasy. Gettit? Lol. This book had been with me for like, ages. Even in summer I am pretty busy. T_T Clearance here, CAT there, summer classes EVERYWHERE. I barely even have alone time anymore. Pity.

The story line is very … captivating. ;) no other term lol. A husband oozing with sex appeal and a rich family. What more can a girl ask for? That’s right. Love and attention. A life without my husband is no life at all…

Plus, their names are an added bonus to the story. Zarek just reeks of Greek and sex appeal and Penny reminds me of Penny in the Big Bang Theory, although in my imagination they are nothing alike. Penny in this book is sensual, while Penny in BBT is witty and outgoing. :D

I wonder how their babies would look like. :3

The guy's name is sexy. Dylan. I read a book before, it was the Goddess of the Sea and if I remember correctly, the hero's name is Dylan. And was he sexy. I kid you not. ;)

Anyway, the heroine, Wynnie, is a lobbyist. Personally, I dunno what that means, but from what she's doing, I think her job is to convince a company to join her group's cause. In the book, Wynnie is an eco-warrior. Y'know, "GO GREEN! PLANT MORE TREES! SAVE THE EARTH!" Yeah. That. I like it. ;) I'm an eco-warrior myself. But not as much as Wynnie, tho.

Dylan is really sweet at the end, but most heroes in Mills Boon books are. Like, suplado first and then becomes mushy-mushy with the heroine. And boom. They became coco crunch. They marry. Happy Ever After! xx

I love Helena's stunt in the first part of the book. How she made a fool out of Salvatore by disguising herself? Not making herself known as the owner of the company she was supposedly touring? Talk about girl power. ;) I love how the story focuses on Revenge. (And since I have RP-ed Lady Nemesis, the Greek goddess of Revenge & Vengeance for 2 years now and counting, I can relate very well. *wink*) 

The characters, Helena (Helen of Troy) & Salvatore Veretti are rivals. Helen is a model, which explains the perfect bod. They are both witty and cunning, and I like how Helen flaunts her beauty while Salvatore just drools over her. Not publicly, of course.

The book is kinda boring, because it talks about business, and I can't exactly relate to that. It's okay, I guess. But for me, boring. With the exception of the moments where Helen & Salvatore are in the bed purposely opposing each other with witty remarks in public.
