Welcome to #madeinUSA via DIY week on the blog - on Monday I shared my simple shoe to lace-up flat instructions and Wednesday I shared a round up of my DIY favorites to date.
This one is barely a DIY, but it shows how just a little adjustment can change the look of a garment to update a look, save money, and keep your wardrobe from getting boring. All I did here was baste the ruffle collar around the under side of the seam and pull it tighter so the collar stood up instead of laying flat around my neck as seen in the bottom photo. Then I hand stitched two layers of ribbon around the back to tie in a bow up front. Easy peasy. And I can remove the whole deal if I ever want the top back to its original style.
