For his peace of mind, Veresk has six rules:

Nobody should be reanimated against their will.

Nobody stays in his retinue longer than they wish.

All significant decisions are made by voting.

Disputes within the retinue must be resolved peacefully and fairly, with Veresk acting as a mediator if necessary.

His necromantic power must never be used for malicious or oppressive purposes.

The existence and nature of the retinue should be kept secret to protect its members from external threats.

His only friend finds the rules idiotic (except for the last one).
