I have a question abt ur adhd post, I've never heard of stimming for adhd ppl and I thought it was only something that autistic ppl did, is stimming different for ppl with adhd?
They are the same thing, however stimming can be more intense for someone with autism (depending on the severity) than for someone with ADHD. ADHDers who stim usually do things such as tap their feet, shake their legs, tap a pencil, wiggle in their seat, chew on something and other various things. For someone with autism that is more severe, they may search for stimulation by rocking back and forth, hitting their head, rapidly moving around, and so on. But for someone who’s autism is not severe, their stimming may look the same as that of an ADHDer. Stimming looks different for every person and we should all accept and not judge one another, no matter how a person is stimming.
