I totally don’t have a small hyper fixation of Psycho Cuties… yeah… totally didn’t just do a cosplay of the two characters with one of my favorite people… yeah, totally not… X3

Haha! Uh, anyway— here’s the start of my dressing up in every cosplay I have week…! X3

(Well, mostly.)

Since it is the week of Halloween, I decided to dress up as every cosplay I have (with me at my dorm that is!)… and as such, we starting out with Dr Masacrik and Mimi.

(Technically this was Monday’s cosplay, I just didn’t get around to posting it until now and it’ll probs be like that for the other few days… but uh, yeah! Stay tuned for tomorrow to see my cosplay I did today! It’s one of, if not, the first, cosplay I’ve done…! Starting sometime in high school and I’m bringing em back around…!)

My Mimi (Super paper Mario) cosplay!

Hello! I hope you are having a fantastic day so far! Feel free to skip this huge chunk of text- it’s just my headcanon for Mimi and some personal thought process on the cosplay!

Super paper Mario was one of my favourite games as a kid, so it still holds a special place in my heart! Recently I’ve replayed the game and I am reminded of how good the characters, music, and the story are. Mimi left a lasting impression on me as a kid with the whole cracking neck mechanical spider thing- but as I grew older, I found that bit to be part of her charm! She’s a great character and I like her very much. Basically below is my thought process for the cosplay I did!

My headcanon for Mimi combines the two possible ideas as mentioned by the flopside bartender! Basically for my hc she started off as a failed shapeshifting pixl experiment by a witch, so the witch added more questionable items into the mix with pixl magic while experimenting! Cogs & gears, a spider, and a ball-joint doll; this resulted in Mimi, a little shapeshifting girl that had the true form of a mechanical spider while maintaining a childlike appearance with dolly looks.

The doll part also could tie in with Mimi’s love for fashion- as you could change the outfit for a doll, like playing dress up! I mainly focused my cosplay of Mimi towards this aspect of my hc, and decided to go with a theme- that being Lolita, explaining why my cosplay for her looks super dolly. I plan to do her summer outfit and her blue dress and red bow outfit (In 2-3) in the future too!
