Despite being touted as one of the most dangerous regions to wander about without a guide, Yuuki had no qualms about taking a casual stroll where the tall grass was. After all, children were sent out to go island-hopping, so what possible threat could there be?

... he didn’t know trouble until he saw a swarm of cutiefly and ribombee, and promptly regretted not updating his pokédex so that he’d know what they actually were, or could do.

If only his friend Mimikyu was around! Careful not to aggravate the swarm, he skirted around the edges of the flower fields while he tried to find a way around them. 

He was not expecting to meet a familiar piece of ... rag, for lack of a better word.

Really, he might need a better way to identify his friend Mimikyu from other mimikyu. 

“Uh ... Mimikyu? Is that ... you? I mean, it’s me, friend.”

yuuki & food

🍱 Yuuki’s favorite international cuisineWell, when it comes to food – the most important factor is price, but on a paid trip to foreign regions (and a food budget that’s more than reasonable), Yuuki finds himself trying out weird foods and dishes that apparently, only locals can love. And those usually mean food from regions outside of Kanto, Johto, and Sinnoh, because as different as they can be (horse sashimi? what?), they’re still similar to what he’s used to eating.

Kalosian cuisine is very refined and elegant, but they aren’t what he can see himself eating for long periods of time. Alolan food? He’s … he’s only heard of malasadas. It’s all the ads on television, probably.

Picking one dish in particular is tough, but if it’s something Yuuki doesn’t mind eating every time he visits a foreign region, it’s definitely Unovan food. It’s the safest bet after all, if a little too greasy for him. Can’t go wrong with a burger and fries, right?

Hau and his pokemon had taken a break under the forest’s canopy, indulging in berries and other meals when the brunet spotted the little thing peeping.

 “Do.. Do ya want a berry ?”

“Goodness you love to to wander off.....this is how we end up in more battles than necessary, Mimi.” Mai shook her head and giggled before gently petting her pokemon’s head. The Raichu let out a happy cry and moved its head along with the petting.

“Hmm? Who did you find here?” Mai looked over at the small pokemon and got close to it. “Aww hi there cutie! I hope Mimi didn’t scare you. She really like making new friends.”

surprise starter for @mimic-pikachu !!

The girl had hardly expected it, but the sight of what looked like a Pikachu stunned her. Not just the oddity of such a creature in the darkened forest made her wonder just what it was. Blinking her blue eyes, she knelt down and placed a Pokebean on the grass.

“Here ya go. You look hungry. I have enough to share. I’m sure Evoli won’t mind.” The Eevee sitting on her shoulder nodded, more curious than upset that another Pokemon would get his ration of treats.
