ITS WITCHER TIME BABY
my geralt watching gaunter o'dimm obliterate olgierd at the end of heart of stone
okay playing witcher again tonight and im sure ill have more thoughts later but i just have to say i think its so funny how every time uma is mentioned it goes like this: "uma THE UGLIEST MAN ALIVE AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT" "uma, YOU MEAN THE UGLIEST MAN ALIVE !!!?????"
like leave him alone 😭
i am so happy to be done w the barons quest there is literally nothing in this world that could make me feel an ounce of sympathy for that man !!!!!
okay girls (gn) its back to witcher land i go. i just started blood and wine and im very excited bc toussaint is gorgeous and also!!!! vampires!!!! very exciting bc i was just complaining to my partner that i was sad that the main game had almost no vampires and behold! vampires!!!!
i just started so not much to say other than:
they made me look for a statues cock and balls???? really?????? for a quest???????? geralt!!!!!
the bank quest made me giggle it was so awful it circled around to being silly and funny what do you mean I, Geralt of Rivia, need to do paperwork at the Bank and actually its going to be so much red tape that i have to go buy flowers and flirt with one of the tellers bc some random guy told me to be nice and it might go faster bc previously i was going from teller to teller and they kept telling me i need more forms !!!!!!!!!!!!
geralt is landed gentry now????????????
okay my thoughts on witcher 3 main game! ive already started heart of stone so ill probably have things to say about the dlc at a later date but here we go!
ig my ending if anyone cares was: ciri becomes a witcher, yen and geralt retire to a cottage (bleh), temeria vassal-state, emhyr becomes even Worse, Cerys Queen of My Heart and Skellige
i achieved my Ultimate goal of Continent's Best Dad Ever with huge success!!!! i frolicked into the sunset with ciri and we did witcher things forever and ever the end :)
except i accidentally locked myself into a romance with Yen :/ (but personally im ignoring that for my worldstate skdfjnsdjf) i have REAL issue with how i got locked into this romance. im pretty sure one (1) dialogue option in one (1) scene locked me in and thats insane to me bc i spent literally the entire rest of the game telling yen to go fuck off essentially skdjfnskdjfn she would have dropped my ass so quick????? makes 0 sense to me
was super uninterested in any of the romances in this game truly. All i cared about was being a father skdjfnskjdfn but Keira is my girl. she ended up with Lambert but she was genuinely my favorite of the three to interact with. my real issue is that it felt like the game kept telling me over and over again that yen and geralt were meant to be so what was the point of the others?
related - the writing of women in this game is ................. So Bad. i honestly dont even want to get into it bc i think i could write several thousand words about my thoughts but ill just say i thought it was a huge weak point in the writing. and very disappointing. my friend told me before i started playing that a lot of the writing in the witcher is by men for men and yeah.... Ciri and Cerys being like the only two women in the game that dont make a pass at Geralt and also being some of the best written characters???
again on the writing of the game, i thought it really shined in the secondary quests and contracts. a lot of the main quest writing felt... underwhelming and contrived so often when i got to a point where i really needed to get back to the main quest i would find myself playing less and less
but the secondary quests!!!! there really were so many amazing stories my all time favorite quest is in the eternal fires shadow. it was so good. reinald my most dearly beloved favorite video game NPC of all time <333333333333 second fave was definitely the series of quests involving the ruler of skellige seriously cerys is so cool i love her so much
it was really pretty lol
skellige was probably my favorite area to run around but velen actually grew on me a bit more after i could go back and forth to skellige. novigrad and oxenfurt Sucked 0/10
