everyone is affected by this EVERYONE
some people are more likely to attempt to perpetuate misogyny and this is people who are raised in spaces where they gain benefits from misogyny
trans women growing up benefit from the patriarchy until they transition due to the fact they are seen as men, and this fact doesn't make them men and them being seen as men if harmful for them in many ways but this doesn't erase this fact
everyone needs to work to unlearn misogyny but the people who still do or used to benefit from this social structure need to work a little harder to do so in most cases
trans men face misogyny their whole lives, even during and after transition their transition is viewed as the loss of beauty and more importantly a mother and womb
trans women face their own challenges that are also rooted in misogyny they are also treated horribly by many people
but the debate going "women good and pure and never misogynistic and men evil bad and misogynistic" isn't going anywhere and is intellectually pointless especially in gender studies and it's a terf talking point
my little cis brother is less misogynistic than my grandma, but that doesn't mean I haven't heard him say something unknowingly misogynistic due to the fact his social group is other teenage boys all of who benefit from misogyny
it's a nuanced topic and you saying girl good boy bad helps fucking nobody
