End of Legend of White Snake

I finished Netflix’s “Legend of White Snake” a little bit ago

SPOILERS

And I was unhappy with path it took, though everything turned out alright at the end. 

I think ending the fight with the Mind Demon with Ruyi’s sacrifice would have be better -- it would have rewarded her (looong overdue) character development by saving Han-wen and his family; saved us from Bai’s “demon goes crazy after having been wronged” arc, which we just covered with Xing a few episodes before, as well as Guan Yin’s Deus Ex Machina moment; and spared baby Shinlin from being abandoned by his parents 

(Plus an arc or even a spin-off showing how Han-wen and Bai raised a half-demon baby would have been wonderful!)

(Also, I was really mad that Xing lost Zutang! I kept thinking we’d revisit his lost memories somehow, but no, he forgets about her and marries someone else. Ugh.)

But, that’s just me. I’m still happy to watched the show and that Bai and Han-wen were eventually reunited. I just wish it had gone a little differently.

Slomannyy or the Mind Breaker is a mind demon whose age and origin are unknown.

His prupose is to help humans reach their ambitions, no matter if they want to make damage to others.

It can be summoned by those who need some help.

However, you must be careful if you find him. If you're not, he can take control of your body, mind and even soul.

He's not a toy to play with, and he can manipulate humans or take them away from his path as he pleases. He's able to make people suicide or take anothers' life for his own fun.

Luckly, his power is inferior than another demons' and you can get rid of him easily by ignoring him or pretending he's not there.

He'll get mad and leave you alone.
