I feel that supeheroes were created as a way to show white privilege incarnate. It's especially evident in hero's with a Batman archetype, affluent white male who uses his money to uphold justice for the marginalized because he realizes that his very livelihood is owed to the institution that he is upholding and fighting against. There's also the hero who is born with their power, these are the people with privilege who's character takes time to adjust to the idea that they should use their power/ privilege for good while reconciling their guilt of being born with the gift in the first place. My favorite type are the superheros of color for the simple fact that most aren't born rich but still use what they have no questions asked to help the world. An example is Static Shock vs Peter Parker, Peter became a hero after his uncle dies, while static starts right off the bat being a hero. Not all hero's follow these types, just most
