Today’s intro to mindfulness class was on mindfulness of the breath. The breath is life. When we attune to the breath, just in that attunment we begin to see impermanence, as the breath changes, sensations of the breath change. We can also see unsatisfactoriness, when the breath is not comfortable and we can see that it’s not personal, because the body breathes by itself. We see that sometimes the breath is pleasant, there can be a sense of ease, peace and joy. all of life reflected in the breath.
