Forget the World || Mindrian (Adrian and Mindy Para)||

Adrian sat on a comfy chair of the reception with his head leaned back against the back of it. He was not sleeping but he did have his eyes closed. His feet were up on his case that sat in front of the chair as he lounged. He had agreed to meet Mindy here as it was easiest and they could set off for their mini holiday over the new year. Everything that had been going on had only served to stress him out, so when she suggested a get away to ignore the world and its problems for a while he happily agreed. 

He had all his stuff packed that he had been travelling with when visiting people and he had even bought her a small gift as a thank you that rested in the inside pocket of his jacket. He had been ignoring the sound of the door and doing his best to see if he could tell she had arrived by smell. Again the door opened and her familiar scent hit his keen nose. He listened for footsteps approaching and when they were close he smirked “Good day M’lady.” he said as he opened his red eyes and brought his head forward. “All ready to go?” he asked as he stood up to give her a warm hug.

Adrian made a face of surprise and looked around with a small chuckle at the room as they drew attention for a second before people went back to their conversations. “Yes she did. For captain conversation himself yes.” He said a little bitterly as he once again gave lance a not so complimentary nickname. So far he had told Mindy and Rory and they had both reacted with shock at Anna choice. Things like this were complicated and had many moving parts, however it did make Adrian feel better that his friends cited him as an obvious choice above lance in this situation. Adrian smiled and put his hand on top of Mindy’s in thanks and looked down a little at her compliment with a small head shake as he looked back at her. He chuckled at her and shrugged “yeah I guess that would have been complicated. But these day it seems like much of life is so complicated. Plus who doesn’t love scaring innocent kids right?” He said with a smile as he started to feel a bit better. “What’s the point of being a dark blood thirsty monster if no one is scared of you right?” He sighed and took a swig of his drink “any way, how’s things at yours. You came all the way out here to see me and I’m hogging the spotlight. How’s things been?”

Mindy laughed as she gave Adrian’s wrist another squeeze before taking it back so she could remove her warm sweater. “Captain conversation, fitting I like it. I still just can’t believe she would so that to you. I don;t know what she sees in him. I try to be nice every time I talk to him, and it just goes no where unless you count irritation for his dickish manners.” Mindy shook her head looking around at the few patrons in the room .There was an elderly man, one young couple a little older then they, and a warm sitting by a fire reading a book. For the popular restaurant it was really bairn. “Adrian, you are far from a blood thirsty monster.” She said with a concerned look. She was never frightened of him when she saw his red eyes, she was instead concerned. “Though what is the point of being a dorky lollipop thirsty mysteriously handsome vampire? Hmm.” She smiled teasingly.

“I don’t mind talking about you. Prefer it to be honest.” Mindy sighed as shook took another gulp of her warm drink. “Things are...not good. Mother was fired from the Minister. She says downsized but I think that was what they told her. I think it is because we are Sundim.” Mindy whispered. Mindy looked down at her drink watching the bubbles rise to the top. “Mum is being offered a job in at the French Minstry. I guess it is better ‘cause they want her to be head of the department, the downfall is she has to move to Versailles.” Mindy said sadly as she finished off her drink. “On the bright side though I got three O’s, five E’s and an A. So, it looks like I will need to talk to the teacher. I need at least an E, and to take Potions, Herbology, and DADA. Or else I can kiss healing magic goodbye..”
